I Can Do Anything Now...

That's kinda the feeling I came back with after the walk this weekend. After pushing myself to walk 26.2 miles in one day (and unfortunately due to a foot injury couldn't do the second 13 miles on Sunday) I totally feel like what I thought were my limits are just the edges of my reach. We had a great weekend and although I literally crawled to the bathroom Sunday night (laughing all the way) I'm totally thinking about doing it again next year.

My team is amazing, and everyone involved in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer has such a positive attitude. You can just look at the dedication and determination in all of these people and believe and know that one day we will absolutely find a cure for this horrible disease.

When I reached mile 13, I thought, how in the heck am I going to make it to 26.2? When I reached 20, I knew there was no way I wouldn't make it to 26.2. Maybe a little slower than some, but I made it.

When I got home, I asked hubby, "Why do I hurt behind my knees?" He said, "Because people just aren't supposed to walk almost 27 miles in one day. It's not natural." That's why we do it, because neither is chemo, radiation or a mastectomy.

  1. Congrats! 26.2 miles is AWESOME! No wonder it hurts behind your knees!

Madder than a Wet Hen

Sunday afternoon, I went to the grocery store, came home, left the car unlocked for hubs to get the groceries out (hey, I buy, he puts them up) and I forgot to lock the car back. Monday morning, I get into the car and everything has been pulled out of the glove compartment, middle console and backseat pockets.

Unfortunately, the little guy left his Nintendo DS Lite in the back because he was playing it at the yard sale this weekend. It's the only thing of value I left in the car and they got it. It just makes me so mad.

Now I feel like an idiot - I haven't reported it to the police yet because I don't want a lecture about locking my car doors at night - I know I'm supposed to, just forgot!!!!

Hubs is now obsessed with catching the criminals, sleeping with one eye open at night. I'd heard that the economy has caused more crime, but why did they have to steal from us, from my little guy?

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
