A Southern Accent

My across-the-street neighbor and best bud Mary Beth and I went to the Raleigh Handmade Market last week (and Trish too - shout-out - holla!) and we saw some great crafts from local vendors - more on that in another post. But, MB found a piece of art with this saying on it and said it was one of her faves. I thought to myself, what a great print it would make for the shop ! So here goes! Confession: I currently have an obsession with cute little campers. So I figured since life is a journey, I imagine taking a journey in this little cutie could be so much fun!

Hi there!  Sorry I've been a bit tardy announcing winners of the the Etsy Kiss My Grits prints! The shop has been crazy busy this week and I'm just trying to keep up with all of the orders! Can you believe it??? My "Kiss My Grits" print was featured in the current December issue of Southern Living Magazine! My shop has been overwhelmed with orders and I couldn't be happier! Several people have asked how this all came about... Two months ago, Southern Living contacted me via my Etsy shop and requested I send them some samples of my work. They said they were collecting ideas for the December gift guide and they liked my prints (gah!!!). I told them that most of the prints I sale are just JPEG or PDF files that I send to people to print out on their own, and just wanted to be sure they understood that. I explained to them the benefits of my digital prints and how they make quick, easy and affordable gifts. They were interested and liked the concept, so I sent the samples along, not getting my hopes up since it would need to go through the editorial team. So I sat and waited...and waited...and waited... I've got a new print now available in my Etsy shop - inspired by one of my favorite songs...and cupcakes, cause everyone likes cupcakes! It's only 10 bucks and I think it would look great on an office wall, in a craft room, or a teenage girl's room.
