Plugged Back In

I'm back. Sorry I was gone so long. Walker was on spring break last week and I just wanted to check out for a while completely. It's kinda nice to do that once in a while. Recently, I feel like my writing and topics were getting a bit stale. Maybe I'm trying too hard, maybe life is just none too exciting to write about. Either way, I'm back.

We had a great time on spring break, hanging out around here for the first part of the week, then we headed to the beach to spend several days with my in-laws.

Walker went back to school yesterday, and after being with him for basically ever moment for the last eight days, I missed my little guy. He was glad to get back to his friends and away from all of the adults, but he did give me a great big hug last night when I came home from work. He missed me too. I will say that Lucy was certainly ready for everyone to get out of the house and give her full reign.

My best friend Daria's due date is today, and still no baby! I can't wait for the little cutie to arrive and I know she can't either! I'd like to ask everyone to pray for Daria and the baby, also Daria's mother, who has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, and her grandmother, who is in the hospital for kidney failure. I'm certain that the joy of a snuggly, cute little baby girl will brighten things for all of her family. If she's anything like Walker, we'll be waiting two more weeks. If she's like her mother, she'll make her grand entrance pretty soon, just a little - fashionably - late.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
