It's A Wrap

Every year in December I venture out to Greensboro along with my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and neices to a fabulous jewelry and accessory show for the trade. It's a huge room full of vendors selling sometimes tacky, mostly gorgeous jewelry, scarves, bags and accessories at wholesale prices. Women that are buying for their small boutiques and gift shops show up with huge roll-away bags that they drag from booth to booth trying to find the latest fashion trends.

This year I spent most of my time in line, so I didn't get to see everything I wanted and I could kick myself for not purchasing one of the cutest things I saw at the show - one of these adorable head wraps, modeled by Mike's niece here (while it was snowing!!) I think she paid maybe $7.00 for it and it wraps around you head and buttons in the back - how cute is this?? (And how pretty is she????)

I'm not sure of the company that made the one above, but I was able to find some similar ones online at Etsy. They don't have as much embellishments, but they are still pretty great. You can also put them around your neck for a cozy neck wrap. They would make a great Christmas present for just about any female in your life. It's a fun and different way to snuggle up and still be stylish!

Anyone have one of these? Where did you find it? Has anyone seen them in the department stores yet? Even better - anyone tried to crochet one on their own? I'm tempted to give it a whirl...but I haven't crocheted in years.

  3. I don't have one (yet), but saw them at several stores in Old Town Spring - a unique shopping area in Spring, TX (just north of Houston), they are quite cute and this is from a girl who normally NEVER wears hats!

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
