Snowland at the Great Wolfe Lodge

This weekend, I was invited to the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC to participate in the kickoff of Snowland, their new holiday tradition that includes indoor snow, special events and Santa!!! To be sure my little guy had someone to enjoy it with, we also took my 6-year-old nephew, and between the two of them, I could barely keep up! The boys had a blast, and it certainly got us into the Christmas spirit!

For kids that have never seen snow, it's pretty magical in the main lobby when real snow starts the fall from the ceiling.

Santa will be there every night during the month of December to take photos with the kids!

I personally loved all of the white lights and cozy fire in the lobby!

And of course, we hit up the water park, the game room and ran up and down the stairs completing quests for MagicQuest!! If you're looking for something different for the family this year, check it out!

Thanks to the Great Wolfe Lodge for hosting us! We had a blast!

Full disclosure: Great Wolfe Lodge provided us a free night the lodge to experience Snowland,

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
