Gifting Barnes & Noble Style

I was recently in Barnes & Noble and I picked up a couple of Christmas gifts for my family (yes I've already started). I got to thinking, I could probably do just about all of my Christmas shopping at this store. I love books and I've recently started working out at lunch while reading and it's really helped pass the time (that's part of how I completed the whole Twilight series so fast). Here are a couple of gift ideas I came across I thought I'd share:

My grandfather (jack-of-all trades): Alex Beard: Impossible Puzzles

My mother (loves the Lord, loves life): A Beautiful New Study Bible

My 16-year-old neice (self-explanatory): The Twilight Saga Collection

My sister (busy, but great mom): I Was A Really Good Mom Before I Had Kids

My 6-year-old nephew (loves speed): Speed Racer Movie

See where I'm going here?

  1. Love the book choice for your sister! :)

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
