The Fabulousness that is Fearrington

Fearrington Village is this wonderful 1700s farm that has been turned into a magical place, with fine dining, a bed & breakfast and great shops. It’s also a popular destination for weddings and provides a gorgeous rustic backdrop with beautiful flowers and a huge white barn with twinkling lights everywhere.

Fearrington hosts a big pumpkin fest each year and while my little man was listening to spooky stories in McIntyre’s bookstore, I took some pics of the wonderful cookbook display to share. I thought it would be neat to look up the titles on to see more about the books!

Fearrington is know for its black and white beltie “Oreo” cows. You can buy just about anything in the nearby shops and online with the famous Fearrington cow on it. Fun stuff!

  1. My son is in Chapel Hill and I want to go visit Fearrington SO badly. He's so slammed with first year law school stuff that he hasn't had time for much fun. Maybe this spring...

  2. I LOVE the lights in the barn! Great pic!

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
