I'm A Carolina Guy

I'm a die-hard Carolina fan and graduate (and my husband is a Dukie, bless him) so I'm trying to teach my son the words to the Carolina fight song.

"I"m a TarHeel born, I'm a TarHeel bread,
and when I die, I'm a TarHeel Dead."

He's actually created his own version:

"I'm a Carolina guy, I'm a Carolina guy
and when I die, I'm a Carolina guy."

Guess it's pretty close.

  3. My husband is an UNC alum and when I met him I quickly had to learn that although many schools reside in the state of North Carolina, the only one that matters is UNC. The rivalry between UNC and Duke is the most fierce rivalry I've ever seen so I can only imagine how much you must love your husband to get past his choice of schools :-)

Thanks for your sweet comment on the Halloween tablescape I did that was posted on Blue-Eyed Bride's blog. Reading your sweet words really made my day!

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
