This Is Not Your Grandmother's Apron...

If the lure of deelish cupcakes isn't reason enough to bake (yes, another cupcake reference), how about trying on an adorable apron for size? I'm seeing them pop up everywhere lately, in adorable fabrics, cute trimmings and bright colors. I was in Anthropologie in NYC last weekend and snapped this pic of a whole wall of aprons. You choose from no less than 64 fabulously cute and stylish aprons online here.

Also, stopped into Michael's today while waiting for LuLu the pup to finish her salon appointment at Petco, and came across this great book on aprons, with fabulous patterns and ideas for making your own: A is for Apron: 25 Fresh and Flirty Designs.

The apron is definitely making a comeback!

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Don't you just love Anthropologie? I've noticed the reimmergence of the apron as well. But I have yet to buy one. Love your blog...cute, cute.

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
