Omigod You Guys!

I'm back from NYC and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. So much fun, in fact, I developed a horrible cold on the last day that has knocked me for a loop. I wonder how much cold medicine is too much?

So, this week's postings will be all about NYC. We did so much and I have so much to talk about but I don't want to bore you with one long entry about the entire trip.

We got to see Bailey Hanks in Legally Blonde the Musical Sunday, and she was wonderful. I actually caught a couple of episodes of the MTV special "The Search for Elle Woods" and was so glad she won. She was excellent as Elle and I'm still singing the songs in my head! If you're looking for a fresh and fun show to see while in the city and need something that appeals to all ages, I highly recommend this show!

The show was actually right beside our hotel, The DoubleTree Suites in Times Square, which was a wonderful, contemporary, newly remodeled, fantastic spot to be in NYC. I would highly recommend it if you're thinking about visiting the city and want to be in the middle of it all. We could walk to 5th Avenue, Central Park, Times Square, and the guys were great there about getting us cabs!

  1. oh, how fun! Do you know I have NEVER been to NYC!? Sad, I know.

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
