My mom said she always hated her freckles, those little dots that covered her arms and face whenever the sun would come out.

She always told me my freckles were kisses from the sun.

Walker has inherited this trait, and I commented on how cute they were last week.

He responded that he had been "growing his freckles" that day and they were "growing pretty fast". Then of course, I had to explain where freckles come from and I told him they were kisses from the sun, just like my mom told me.

Now I get to look at those cute freckles every time someone calls since he managed to set my phone background with this picture...

  1. Lol, that's too cute. And I look your mother's explanation of them :)

  2. Love this pic! And my oldest has become obsessed with her freckles too!

  3. Walker, I really LOVE your freckles!!! Luc across the street has them and he thinks they are terrific! he says that his are angel kisses and that he must be pretty special because he has so many. maybe you both can compare.
Can't wait to see you! xoxo mama

  4. Just darling!

Like your mom, I grew up hating my freckles; I couldn't be happier about 'em now and am proud to say my son is already a member of the club too.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!

Madder than a Wet Hen

Sunday afternoon, I went to the grocery store, came home, left the car unlocked for hubs to get the groceries out (hey, I buy, he puts them up) and I forgot to lock the car back. Monday morning, I get into the car and everything has been pulled out of the glove compartment, middle console and backseat pockets.

Unfortunately, the little guy left his Nintendo DS Lite in the back because he was playing it at the yard sale this weekend. It's the only thing of value I left in the car and they got it. It just makes me so mad.

Now I feel like an idiot - I haven't reported it to the police yet because I don't want a lecture about locking my car doors at night - I know I'm supposed to, just forgot!!!!

Hubs is now obsessed with catching the criminals, sleeping with one eye open at night. I'd heard that the economy has caused more crime, but why did they have to steal from us, from my little guy?
