Christmas Decor from the Dollar Store

One of my favorite Christmas decorations is my small collection of nativity scenes. They are cute little limoges boxes with sweet details and scenes of the birth of Christ.

What I love most about them? They are from the Dollar Store! They sell a new one each year and I always run by there and pick one up. I think they are so sweet and for a dollar - you can't beat it!

These little boxes also make great gifts for Sunday School teachers, neighbors and friends!

  1. Found your blog via Ashley's Avenue!! Love the limoges boxes and I think I may have to swing by our local Dollar Store and pick up a few. Love your blog and New follower.

  2. I have the one in the middle. I am dying for that one you have close up in the 2nd picture though! Guess we will get out in the freezing rain and cross our fingers that there are still some left. :)

    Merry Christmas!

  3. Love Nativity sets, too. In fact, a group of friends were at my house this week and we were talking about our different Nativity sets, and one of the girls said that at her house, her kids are always playing with their Nativity, and that apparently Joseph has left Mary, along with the shepherds! I thought that was so cute! :)

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
