Miss Me?

So, we celebrated Walker's first week of summer vacation at the beach last week with my in-laws and family and it was fabulous! I can actually say for the first time in a long time I didn't want to come back to work!

But I'll focus on a couple of things to keep my spirits up!

1 - I didn't gain any weight while on vacation! And I actually lost a lb! That never happens! I guess it comes from all that beach and pool time with Walker!
2 - I've got a pretty good tan, didn't get burned and used sunscreen every day, so I did it the healthy way.
3 - Summer is almost here and our neighborhood pool is open! Yeah!

Happy Monday all! You'll be seeing more from me this week, but gotta catch up on home and work first!

  2. Wendy,
I wanted to introduce myself to you. My name is Leigh Hines. I just found your adorable blog. Love your blog headers. I am a Raleigh blogger without a "technical bone in my body" but what caught my eye was your son and golfing. My son is obsessed, but he hasn't had lessons. His dad doesn't golf so we aren't sure where the obsession is coming from. I'll be following you now.

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
