We were thrilled to be invited by The Great Wolfe Lodge to attend their second annual slide-a-thon to benefit the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program of the Charlotte area this past weekend. What a fabulous way to kick off the summer!!
Since Mike works on Saturdays, I invited my sister to come along with me, and the boys had a blast! We were treated so wonderfully by the folks at The Great Wolfe Lodge, with a buffet breakfast Saturday morning and a cabana in the pool area to hang out and take breaks!
From 11a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, for every guest that slid down the River Canyon waterslide, Great Wolf Resorts donated $1 to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program.The waterslide-athon event, now in its second year, occurred simultaneously at Great Wolf Lodge resorts across the country. The goal for this year was $250,000 nationally, doubling last year's goal.
We met with the local representatives from the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and some of the management team from The Great Wolfe Lodge to hear about the wonderful partnership they have. You can tell that everyone involved really has a passion for this program. It's great to see a large organization committing to such a great cause.
It was a fabulous time for everyone and we had some tired little boys by the end of the day! But never too tired to pose for a picture!
