Au Natural

This weekend I will
wear very little makeup
keep my hair in braids
and live in my bathing suit.
Kinda like I did last weekend.

But nobody looks at me anyway when I have that little cutie beside me.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend! Be safe!

  1. Pretty much every day for me is no make-up, hair in a ponytail. The bathing suit, not so much. :)

Love it! Perfect post! Enjoy your weekend!

  2. feels so good to be makeup free and just ENJOY! Have a great one!

  3. I am usually the type of woman who would rather die than go in public without a stitch of make-up, but there's just something about summertime, a tan, being totally fresh faced. Ok, ok, maybe a little mascara ;)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend Love!

  4. ahhh! you both look super cute!

  5. If I looked that good, I wouldn't ever wear much makeup!

Just found your blog...looking forward to reading more.

Hope you had a great 4th!

  6. Love your idea of a perfect weekend! And also love your photographs of the farmer's market -- gorgeous and inspiring.

  7. Just found your blog. I'm a 36 year old mom to an only child, a 2 year old boy. My hubby is not a golf instructor, but he is definitely addicted to the game and would love to be a golf pro when he "retires". :)

    Loved reading through your blog!

  8. I'm the same way...I actually debated showering yesterday as we were going to the pool later...but I did b/c we went to breakfast first!
Hope you enjoyed your laid back weekend!

  9. I could live like that everyday!

  10. Back to basics - it's a good thing! Beautiful photograph too

  11. Love the braids! I have never mastered the art of braiding my own hair :)

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
