My Morning in Numbers

5 number of times I had to kiss my little guy to wake him up this morning.
2 different shirts I had to pull out of his closet because he didn't like the first one I picked. (Wonder where he gets that from???)
4 pairs of shoes I tried on with my outfit today because I just couldn't decide what mood I was in.
1 tiny slug we found on a stick outside between the back door and the car and had to take it to school to show our friends.
0 number of miles I had left on my gas gage on the highway on the way to work.
15 dollars of gas I put into my car, making me...
10 minutes late for work.

No, this picture doesn't have anything to do with this post. Pink flamingos just make me smile.
How was your morning?

  1. Sweet kisses to your little guy :)

  2. :) i love the simplicity of this post.

(let us see a pic of the shoes you decided on!)

my morning started out rough, but the afternoon proved to be much better! :)

  3. Snips and snails and puppy dog tails...little boys are all alike...mine is 17 and while we haven't taken a slug to school (that I know of), they never really grow out of it...precious post...

  4. I had a great morning as soon as I heard the weatherman say -NO RAIN! Woohoo! the sun is actually going to shine in KC today.

    Loved your post!

    I'm having a give*away if you'd like to enter :)

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
