Basketball season is upon us yes (go Heels!), but this will be my first season as a mom!!! My little guy starts practice tomorrow night and he is so excited.

So is daddy - daddy, that went out and bought him a brand new NCAA junior-size basketball Saturday. That ball barely left our little four-year-old's hands, and after daddy demonstrated how he used to sleep with his basketball every night, it found its way under the covers of our own bed as well.

My two guys have recently turned our kitchen into a basketball court, because it's too freakin cold to do anything outside right now. After dressing himself in full-on Tar Heel attire, the game was on. The whole family decided to get in on the action - check out these moves:

(Please forgive my singing and cheering - I'm just a proud mama! BTW - this is also your first chance to hear my real southern accent!!!!)

  1. love the skillz.....cute player and cute accent...and I love that song, too!

  2. Lucy must play for State!! Ha! Ha!! (Don't tell my husband I just said that!)

  3. too presh! Would look better in Red ;-)

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
