At the Zoo

I was totally going to do a post today about some really cool pics I recently took at the zoo, but of course, John and Sherry over at Young House Love totally beat me to the idea. You should check out their post on some great pics they recently took at the state fair.

...but not before you check out these cool pics I snapped at the zoo last weekend. And if you want a high-res file of any of these, just e-mail me and I'll gladly send it to you!

Here's a street access cover to the water line - as everyone in my family's first and last name starts with the letter W, I thought it perfect for framing.

I took this picture because I loved the contrast of the green and the purple and didn't even notice the heart shadow until after I downloaded it to my computer.

Just a really cool flower...

And my personal favorite, that I just had to include....

  1. That one with the heart is amazing! Love the colors :)

  2. So...can you teach photo 101 over the computer? Please! You are have such a way of capturing color and life and they are ALL framers :)

  3. We're going to the Zoo, tomorrow in Ashboro, NC

  4. Why are all the gals I blog with, amazing photographers!
    That is wonderful Lady!!

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
