Fridays on the Front Porch

We went to our first Friday on the Front Porch at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill Friday night and had a blast. They have weekly Friday night events through the summer with a southern buffett and Bluegrass music. The little man and I went with my neighbor and her son and they had a blast. Evidently, someone likes Bluegrass...

  1. How fun!
You always have the best pictures!

  2. I love that first picture -- true enjoyment!

  3. That's awesome! I've wanted to go for quite some time now and just haven't....let me know when you go again. I'd love to take Alexander (and yes-it would just be us..Phil wouldn't be caught dead listening to some good bluegrass :))

  4. fun pictures! that sandwich looks amazing!!

  5. great pictures! love the new look, by the way!

  6. How fun! Sounds like a great time! love the pics!

  7. Too cute! Is that a bbq sandwich with coleslaw on it? You just can't find those everywhere! Yum!

  8. Sounds like lots of fun. I love the pictures, they look similar to many in my photo albums minus the bluegrass fueling the fun however.

I'm hungry now after seeing that sandwich. Thanks.

  9. Looks like so much fun! And that sandwich looks delish. :)

  10. I've stayed there once- I loved the warm cookies they give you at check in :)- sounds like you had a wonderful time!

Madder than a Wet Hen

Sunday afternoon, I went to the grocery store, came home, left the car unlocked for hubs to get the groceries out (hey, I buy, he puts them up) and I forgot to lock the car back. Monday morning, I get into the car and everything has been pulled out of the glove compartment, middle console and backseat pockets.

Unfortunately, the little guy left his Nintendo DS Lite in the back because he was playing it at the yard sale this weekend. It's the only thing of value I left in the car and they got it. It just makes me so mad.

Now I feel like an idiot - I haven't reported it to the police yet because I don't want a lecture about locking my car doors at night - I know I'm supposed to, just forgot!!!!

Hubs is now obsessed with catching the criminals, sleeping with one eye open at night. I'd heard that the economy has caused more crime, but why did they have to steal from us, from my little guy?

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
