To Freeze or Not to Freeze

As mentioned before, I'm in Atlanta. It's cold here. I didn't bring a coat. Or a scarf. Or gloves. It was in the 50s when I left Raleigh this weekend. Good old Jack Frost has come to visit and caught me off guard.

I really thought about packing a coat, but I couldn't fit anything else in my luggage. I mean, a girl has to have at least three outfits for each day on the road. One dressy outfit, one middle-of-the-road kinda dressy outfit for those mornings you wake up and don't feel like dressing up but you still have to look like you made the effort, and the evening outfit (jeans, cool shirt, etc.). There was no room for a coat.

So here's my dilemma. Do I suffer through the rest of the day and tomorrow in the freezing cold, or is it a great excuse to catch a cab to the nearest mall and buy a coat? You tell me.

Oh, and I've got a Macy's coupon for 11% off one item. I could pick this cute little coat up for $129.00, regular price is $220.00...hummmm.....

Happy Pills

I'm a crazy person. At least, that's what I feel like some times. And it runs in my family. No, not really crazy (and don't take offense if you are one of me), but just clinically depressed and filled with anxiety. It's as if I don't have something to worry about in my head constantly, then I don't feel normal. Luckily, there's a pill for that. It's a bitter pill, one that I'll basically have to take the rest of my life, but I've slowly accepted that it's like any other disease, and just like diabetes or heart disease, that little pill is gonna make me better. But that little pill makes me gain weight, gives me the brain shivers when I miss it, and although I've tried to get off it multiple times, I just can't. So I guess that makes me an addict as well. But it's a pill that my grandparents and family didn't always have, and they suffer from it as well, so I should be thankful for this little red capsule of happiness...
