Busy Days Equal Early Bedtimes

Today was a busy day and initially started with the possibility of no plans because of rain, and ended up being jam packed with activities. The house needed a major wipe-down, so my little man and I vacuumed and cleaned, etc., etc. He loves to clean and I totally use that to my advantage. Then my mom decided to come over and we headed to the mall and I managed to not buy a single thing, although I tried on the Cutest orange cord jacket at Belks that was ON SALE! But I'm trying to be better...

Then the soccer game I thought would be cancelled because of rain was still on and my little guy played with two of the little girls that are on his team. They played ring around the rosie while he tried to beat Beckham Jr., to no avail. At least he's remembering to say, "oh pooie", like I taught him instead of flailing on the ground crying when the other team scores.

Then, our neighborhood had their annual chili cook-off, with face painting, tattoos, a fire truck, balloon man and cupcakes. Today's fun tip - this cool face-painting book would make a great birthday gift - the lady painting faces had it tonight and it tells you step by step how to paint some really cool designs. I think it would make a unique gift!

Needless to say, little man was tired by this point, so he and hubby were officially out at 7:30. Good for me cause I rented a movie, poured a glass of wine and chilled on the couch. Mommie time, love it.

  1. I hear ya! I made it though almost an hour of wandering through Southern Season after a delicious wine tasting and dinner event... without buying anything other than my ticket. I call that impressive for a Saturday.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
