Southern-Inspired Style

Have you seen Kristen Davis collection at Belk? It's getting great reviews and I've picked out a couple of my fave pieces here. Some of the items aren't for me (sometimes I fluctuate between a Carrie and a Charlotte) but can't wait to see where this collection goes!

Women's Wear Daily reports: "The apparel line is full of A-line skirts and dresses, blouses and other pieces that easily can be taken day to night or casual to evening. The pieces include feminine details like flowers and jewels, and the fabric weights are sensitive to the South's milder climate. The line is offered in sizes 2 through 14."

Davis said she used to save up her money when she was younger to go shopping at Belk, one of the reasons she agree to have this collection at the department store.

And I love this: "I don't even wear a zero, so they're not allowed," Davis said.

  1. I love the jacket. This gives me the perfect reason to go to Belk.

I haven't been yet. I'll have to check out the one at Phipps.

  2. I love her, she's always been my favorite on SATC. I also think she is gorgeous! And I love the size 0 comment too ;)

  3. i love her. i never go to belk except to buy my bobbi brown stash, but those skirts are phenomenal!

  4. Thanks for the scent recommendation, I'll definitely try it!
I like the pieces you chose from the new clothing line.. I think I'm really gonna love it!

  5. I really love it!~ That's one celeb getting the clothing line right!

  6. I had no idea she had a collection out; very cool!!

  7. Cute! We don't have a Belk around I don't think :( Love versatility though!

  8. Her comment on not allowing size 0's makes me want to run out and pick up a few pieces of my own!

Baby Shower Inspiration Board: Sweet Little Things

It's been a while since I posted an inspiration board, so when I saw that Angie Harmon's friends threw her a candy-inspired baby shower this weekend, I thought it would be fun to come up with some ideas of what it may have looked like! Yummy!

New Addition to the Family...

Meet the newest member of our extended family, Sporky. Sporky arrived Christmas day and was the one and ONLY thing my 12-year-old nephew wanted for Christmas. I've never held a hedgehog before now and it's not a pleasant experience when they point their spikes out at you, but Sporky started to overcome his shyness as the holidays passed and he's starting to get used to all of the attention. He really is a cutie.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest!

To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!!

So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop. So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want!

So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out! And may the force be with you!
