Walls of Art

I love to paint, but don't get much time these days to devote to it, but I always dreamed of having "original art" in my home one day. Well, instead of spending tons of money investing in someone else's dream, I decided to create my own "original art". It's the best feeling in the world when someone complements your artwork hanging in your home and you can actually take credit for it.

I know most of you girls are creative, so if you're looking for a way to personalize your home and be original, try purchasing a canvas at Michael's with your 50% off coupon and picking up some acrylics (much easier to clean up after yourself than oil) and see what you can create! If if you're interested in a canvas like any of these, contact me and I can whip one up for you pretty cheap too! The bottom two are actually Christmas presents for my nieces - they make great gifts!

  1. These are so pretty! Mr. Newlywed does pencil drawings, and we have some really nice ones hanging up.

    I can't even draw a stick person.

  3. Hey! I found your blog from Blue Eyed Bride's. I love the flowers on the top! I'd actually be insterested in talking to you about it (or one like it) for a Christmas gift for my parents. Would you email me at mycupoverflows08@gmail.com with info?

I love your blog, and I'll keep checking back! Thanks!

  4. What pretty artwork!!!

I have always wanted to do this! So what kind of brushes do you use with acrylics? How did you learn things like how long it takes to let your canvas dry, etc? You have totally inspired me!

  7. I love me an arty girl! You just may have inspired me to try it. I do lots of things, but have never tried painting on canvas. I paint everything else that doesn't move, but never canvas. Love your blog. I think I'll add you to my role.

Happy Pills

I'm a crazy person. At least, that's what I feel like some times. And it runs in my family. No, not really crazy (and don't take offense if you are one of me), but just clinically depressed and filled with anxiety. It's as if I don't have something to worry about in my head constantly, then I don't feel normal. Luckily, there's a pill for that. It's a bitter pill, one that I'll basically have to take the rest of my life, but I've slowly accepted that it's like any other disease, and just like diabetes or heart disease, that little pill is gonna make me better. But that little pill makes me gain weight, gives me the brain shivers when I miss it, and although I've tried to get off it multiple times, I just can't. So I guess that makes me an addict as well. But it's a pill that my grandparents and family didn't always have, and they suffer from it as well, so I should be thankful for this little red capsule of happiness...
