I go through this every year, obsessing over which Christmas card to order, which photo to use, which outfit to put my little man in. Should I include the dog? Should it be a family pic? By chance do I try to capture the cat (because before children, he was the star of my annual Christmas card).
I know, in the whole scheme of things, it's probably pretty silly to spend so much time thinking about a Christmas card, but I personally love to get them and get so excited about opening each and every one! So I figure maybe there are other people out there like me, right?
To start with, there are so many different designs out there to choose from? There's minted, shutterfly, snapfish, tinyprints...Or, do I design and print my own? Do I go with a nicer, folded card, or a single card? Should the photo be in black and white, or color?
I did manage to get a couple of cute shots of my little man this weekend in his cute Christmas pants (that he hates and I had to bribe him with a hockey game, birthday party and a toy to wear) and these are just a couple of options I've come up with.
Which one is your favorite?
Where are you ordering your cards from this year, or will your card be digital (a trend that seemed to be popular last year)?
We ordered ours from Shutterfly and got a flat, rectangular picture card with a photo of us beign silly at our trash the dress photo shoot. Next year we plan to include the cats and do a "family" picture! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh I love 1 & 3! We haven't decided on a card yet either. I might be old fashioned but some years I send a mix of picture ones and then longwinded rambling written Christmas cards. Just depends on my mood!
ReplyDelete#4!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei loooove #3!
ReplyDelete#3, hands down!!! All 4 are cute but #3 perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love #3, but I'm a big fan of receiving cards that are mainly the photo itself! And I too LOVE opening the mail during Christmas season and receiving cards :) We ordered ours from Shutterfly this year - I am almost finished addressing them if my husband would update his address list :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of #4. Love the blue with the red!!
ReplyDeletethey are all good but 1 and 3 are my favoite
ReplyDeletei wish my dad and brother would do a family christmas cards but they are too "good" for them lol
atleast one family member doesnt mind doing it with me
my baby boy(my fur child haha)
They are all so, so precious! I think I like #4 best, but you really can't go wrong with any of them!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tie between 1 and 2!
ReplyDelete#3! Little man is cooperative w/ photos! My kids pretty much rebel at the sight of the camera!!
ReplyDeleteI like Minted 2 and Shutterfly. I think it's nice to have more than one picture! Good luck choosing-they all look great!
ReplyDeleteI've been in a tissy over mine too! For you, I'm thinking Minted #2.
ReplyDelete# 4 is my fav!
ReplyDeleteI can't even get my husband to be in a picture smiling... so I have no clue if we're going to do christmas cards yet.
#2 is my favorite, they are all cute though !
ReplyDeleteI love #2 only because I'm a sucker for black and white! I struggle every year as well! We finally did a family photo (even though I prefer to not be on the card, but I digress) only because so many people asked why it was just Little Man! We got ours through seehere.com (fugi film) and they were ALL free! The cards weren't as cute as some other sites, but again, they were free (even the shipping) so I couldn't complain too much! Freebies4mom.com has the code!
ReplyDeleteI get SO excited about Chrsitmas cards, like I look forward to it all year long. Its kind of unhealthy! I LOVE #3. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between #1 and #4. I can't explain exactly what it is about those two, but they made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be sending print cards this year...but I'm so boring and just get them at Hallmark. No personalization. BUT...with a new puppy, perhaps that will change?
I love the blue one at the top! Who does those ... Sorry if you do, I am a new visitor to your blog! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThey are all great, but I think I like 3 + 4 the best. Love those pants - ha!
ReplyDelete#2 & #4 are my favorites but they are all VERY cute. I'm sure your fam & friends would smile receiving any of them!
ReplyDeleteChristmas is RIGHT around the corner, huh!?
Happy Thanksgiving-
Jen
