More Halloween Decorating

It's been crazy around here, but I still managed to get some additional Halloween decorating completed. I have to keep up with my neighbors Mary Beth and Angela that are trying to out-do me this year.

Here's an easy idea anyone can do - and you'd be amazed at how much of an effect it has. So simple, cheap and easy! Last year, I picked up an orange light bulb at Party City and changed it out with the regular bulb on my front porch. It gives a wonderful glow at night and when Halloween is over, I just pop the regular bulb back in! Easy, peasy!

And here's a little look at our family of pumpkins. Walker picked them out this year - with the exception of the white one - I always add that one to the pile. Then there's the fake one - can you pick it out? We emptied the inside of one of them because Walker wanted me to fry some pumpkin seeds, but I haven't carved anything on the front yet. I can't commit to a design. I decided to name the dude hanging out on the pumpkins Mr. Bones. When I say hey to him every time I drive up to the house, Walker looks at me kinda funny.

Then, my table decorations. I sized one of my free Halloween prints down and placed in a frame from the Dollar Store, then took some chip art stickers from Walmart and scrapbook paper, googly eyes and another Dollar Store frame for the second piece. I picked up the Halloween "tree" from Target two years ago and the jar was inspired by a fun idea I saw online with a jar of bats. I decide to put my own spin on this idea and created "The Boo Crew". Walker loves having his own little jar of ghosts.

So, I hope that gives you some spooky inspiration for Halloween!!! Here's to tons of fun, freeks and frightening follies for us all!

Happy Pills

I'm a crazy person. At least, that's what I feel like some times. And it runs in my family. No, not really crazy (and don't take offense if you are one of me), but just clinically depressed and filled with anxiety. It's as if I don't have something to worry about in my head constantly, then I don't feel normal. Luckily, there's a pill for that. It's a bitter pill, one that I'll basically have to take the rest of my life, but I've slowly accepted that it's like any other disease, and just like diabetes or heart disease, that little pill is gonna make me better. But that little pill makes me gain weight, gives me the brain shivers when I miss it, and although I've tried to get off it multiple times, I just can't. So I guess that makes me an addict as well. But it's a pill that my grandparents and family didn't always have, and they suffer from it as well, so I should be thankful for this little red capsule of happiness...
