Tickled Pink

I have to admit, I don't think I have a single item in my house that is pink.

Maybe that's why I'm so in love with the latest issue of House Beautiful magazine, featuring the color pink as a vibrant and exciting way to perk up a room.

Or maybe it's because I'm desperately wanting spring to get here.

Or it could be because February is the month for lovers and I love Valentine's day.

But, I totally think I've found the colors to use when updating my downstairs bath.

And if you're not convinced and want to be trendy and hip, honeysuckle pink is Pantone's color of the year for 2011. I absolutely adore this shade of pink. Look for it to show up in weddings, home and party decor, make-up shades and clothing throughout this year!

Random Side Note: My parents' yard used to be filled with yellow honeysuckle, the pink ones are actually harder to find around here. Which leads me to this question: have you ever tasted real honeysuckle straight from the vine? If not, you gotta try it this spring. It's a tiny little drop of sweetness that tastes as good as it smells.

Are you gonna try out the color for 2011 in your home or wedding, etc.?

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
