Shoe Shopping

I did quite a bit of shopping and browsing in the stores this weekend and it's amazing how different the trends are this year! There's lots of plaid out there (still not quite sure how I feel about that) but I do know that I love the chunky shoes I'm seeing everywhere!

So, I think it's time to spend my Anthropologie gift card from my birthday and I need your help in deciding which shoes to choose! I love the selection of shoes they have right now because they are funky and chunky - two traits I love in a shoe.

Below are the finalists - tell me which ones you like the best and why to help me shop!

  2. I second #3. They are gorgeous, a pop of color, a cute floral decal that can be dressed up or down, and look like they can go with any outfit, I am imagining jeans to skirts to slacks. Do let us know what you pick!

  3. Oh, DEFINITELY #3....Every woman needs a pair of red, patent leather, funky, CMFM heels that don't look like they belong dancing on a stage or walking down the boulevard! If you want to feel completely sexy and in control at the same time, red patent is where it's at!

  4. My heart says #3, they're gorgeous. My practical, cold Canadian side says, that I would go with #4, also lovely.

  11. 2 or 3. I love both! and it seems that yellow really goes well with all outfits- so maybe they are the most versatile!

  13. Girl, if you can still wear red shoes like that, then they get my vote because one of these days you will look at shoes like that and say "no way will I try to perch on those and walk at the same time!"

  14. Looks like I'm the odd man out...#4 is my favorite.

  15. #2 is my choice for you!!! I typed a long explanation and it encountered an error ...but basically #1 and #4 aren't funky enough and you've had some red shoes more recently although they would be good for "dress up". So, what'll it be?
Agree with the comment, "Wear them while you can". They make my broken foot hurt just looking at them!!

  17. I love #3, however I would love them better in a different, more versatile color. But I love the flower that makes them feminine.

  18. I like number 1!!! They look like a pair you would wear with lots of outfits! They're all adorable!!!

  19. Number 4. They are the most versatile - jeans or skirts!

  20. I too vote for 3. I think red is very versatile and they are not so dressy that they wouldn't go with more casual things. Cute!

  21. I love all of them, the shoes was so gorgeous they are looks so elegant for sure they will fit on me.

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
