Oldie But Goodie - Patriotic Wedding

I thought I'd repost one of my favorite posts from last year, one that kinda got my blog rolling because Abby from Style Me Pretty posted it on her site last year. I'm not being lazy, just thought I'd repost since I had like 3 readers at the time.

In honor of the 4th of July, I put together a red, white and blue wedding inspiration board. I thought it would be great for July weddings, military weddings or just someone who is very patriotic!

4July

Here's to the fourth! We're headed to the beach tomorrow for some fun in the sun. The neighbors are having a fireworks celebration and I'm sure we'll be downing some yummy burgers!

  1. I got married July 5th last year, and we went back and forth about do we do red, white, and blue or something else?

In the end we went with something else, because I wasn't sure I could pull off the patriotic theme without it looking cheesy.

This picture proves it can be done beautifully! I've seen some gorgeous red, white, and blue weddings lately.

  2. Super cute! You should check out Maggie's wedding at Eat, Drink, Marry. They had an election themed wedding and it was gorgeous!

  3. Lovely! That invitation with the concentric red, white, and blue circles is darling.

Ditto checking out Maggie's wedding. Her attention to detail, using this color scheme, was just incredible.

Funny, I was just mulling over doing a similar post. If I do, I'll link back to yours of course.

  4. I love this post. I was married before my husband joined the military, but the wives host red/white/blue parties year round. Cute ideas for when it's my turn to be hostess. :o) I love the invitations and the decorated tables. But for the cupcakes...I HAVE to go with cupcakes gormets mini americana sets.

  5. Absolutely LOVE this! I'm a R/W/B girl all year round, but I've never seen it as a wedding theme. How clever :)

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . So now, for just $8.00 - you can receive the file electronically and print them for yourself! I jazzed them up a bit with some sliver glitter puff paint on the light saber and some silver ribbon to attach to the dollar store bags. Print as many or as few as you want! So, if you are planning a Star Wars party, check them out ! And may the force be with you!

Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow". I think I could get addicted to creating these things.
