Adorable Little Things...

I'm not sure how I came across Lauren Alane's site, but so very happy I did. She makes these cute little needle-felted (explanation to come) owls and birds and they are just adorable.

If you haven't been exposed to the needle felting craze, you basically take this big fluffy pieces of wool and poke them to death until you've shaped and smoothed them into cute little creatures like these. I'll admit, I took a trip to Michaeals, bought some wool and some needles and poked my heart out, but end result looked basically like something that my dog had chewed for several hours. All the more reason to admire the beauty of these little guys, but I will admit, it is a great tension reliever.

Lauren has a shop on Itsy that she updates about once a month, and she sends e-mails and notices of when the latest update will be, but I've still yet to get my hands on one of these little guys because they sell out so fast! She also makes cake toppers for weddings and can customize them to the match the couple. He designs were recently featured in a bridal magazine in Florida. Check out her blog for more fun pics and great trends. Her husband is a talented photographer and they take pics of the little guys in cute little settings and they just come alive!

Star Wars Gift Bag Tags

Two years ago, for Walker's Star Wars birthday, I created Yoda tags to attach to the gift bags for the party. Little did I know these bag tags would become so popular on Pinterest! To date, these tags have been repinned almost 500 times!!! So I thought since there's so much interest, I'd add them to my Etsy shop . Baby Shower Inspiration Boards

I got all excited about the baby shower inspiration board contest over at Sippycups Are for Chardonnay , but only ended up submitting this first one on time. I managed to pull the second together this weekend just for kicks and loved the colors, so thought I'd share here. The first board is call "Nesting Instincts" and the second is "Over the Rainbow".
